From Cannes ships nostalgia with love | Reso
The film, (smoothly) ships nostalgia based on a novel by the late German writer Heinrich ships nostalgia von eighteenth century Kleist, njezeteshen was part of the selected films (nominated) for the Palme d'Or. Des Pallières is directed that respects himself and his zanantin: making movies (rare commodity) that have the quality, but sometimes the films shortcomings author. But this has almost only concerned Movies compiled containing in himself a typical characteristic of film directors with films godarian inspiration: there is a scene in "Michael Kohlaas" (along which the queen she makes a visit to the home of the hero-rebel) which not only stands light years on the other scenes, but it is, if not most beautiful, one of the most beautiful scenes of all movies this year! (Such a phenomenon can be seen in "La folie Almayer" of a next regjizoreje ships nostalgia godardiane: Chantal Akerman BELGES).
This won "Camera Arts", ie was named best debutant (length during the first of a new director) at Cannes this year. The film performed only by a 29 year old guy, "Ilo Ilo" looks like a 99 year old movie. Comparison with the sensational "Boy ships nostalgia meets girl" to Leos Carax (who won the same award 30 years ago was in Cannes and then director was just 24 years old) would be perhaps the best way to understand the abyss that has fallen Filmmaking in general, from Singapore in Cannes, passing by hills (Hollywood)
Since now distant year 2007 (with "La France", one of my 10 favorite movies of that year), we had no news from director Serge Bozo. Ps 6 years, it comes with a thriller (with a suspense), but of a special kind: a thriller ... carnivalesque! Can we say that it is a burlesque comedy, but it would be a little simplistic: suspensi film is actually present, thus not merely a pretext to build a burlesque comedy. Is this another job then that suspense, this thriller, pershfaqet in a carnivalesque form. 'Karnavalizmi', in my opinion, has to do with the idea that the author wants to convey through the film: France, the country's oldest democracy, just as a good part of western democracies (to which asirojne and Albanians) resembles all The more a ... carnival! So in a way, the theme is the same with "La ships nostalgia France", the previous film director, only that this time he uses humor instead of seriousness, to tell us that they have to say. Bet directorial (thriller 'carnivalesque' seems is not kollajshem ships nostalgia (I hardly had never seen any such, and this is no less!), So the film is really unique, though not entirely from beginning to end arrive. But , why does it matter? From the moment that he is courageous and not qullac, perturbing and non-academic (as 99% of circulating films at the box today), "so" is enough!
L ast but not Least: this is the last film, but I realized very last that will ever realize Steven Soderbergh: as stated himself, he will stop doing films and will change profession (in fact I love it, Stroke for an early idea of mine, under which they stage director who feel that the authors have said "what have they had to say" to change their profession better than repeat myself for you rene-February). The only director in the world to have won a Golden Palm at Cannes Film Festival at the age of 26 years that his first movie at all (sex lies and videotapes), Soderberg karriren closes his film (which is also was in competition at Cannes this year) that neither has brought nor will come up sometimes cinemas across the USA's, but only on TV: the film has appeared in the HBO channel and has captured the highest number of viewers of this channel in the whole history his! A real triumph! And a few days before also won Emmy Awards as the best film of 'TV' American of the Year. In fact, "Behind ships nostalgia the candelabra" is not nothing but a TV movie at all true art film: in Europe it has come up in the cinema screens. But reportedly, U.S. producers did not want to disclose them aventurohen of movie cinemas across ships nostalgia the U.S. (avoiding financial failure, because the subject of the film) but only on TV and then DVD, and this despite the presence of two mega- Stars: ships nostalgia Michael Douglas in the role of Liberace, the famous pianist of an ultra of American kitsch 80s (or as it was called then "Mozart's Las Vegas") and Matt Damon in the role of his boyfriend.
Film, which tries to express through images that ç'fshihet after diamonds (devils?) Is made with passion, but as usual we Soderbergh films, than missing a vein, hazardous, Disturbing, to oblige every time you see a movie its not know if it's an overrated director or ... mostly eaten in revenge
