Part of the employees due to new information is asked to withdraw from that position, but Eich pleaded to could not planned. A few days later, Mozilla still looking for a new CEO.
Eich is the place CEO sat until last week, but it was not long before his position is threatened. After it was learned cruise that the thousand dollar rally against same-sex marriage, even seventy thousand people, cruise including employees of Mozilla, signed a petition was asked to come down to their new positions. Eich was flatly refused, invoking the same time the right to their own beliefs and that the Mozilla open community that does not discriminate based on personal views.
It was because of these beliefs, however, Mozilla began to boycott various services like OK Cupid, and the whole drama and negative publicity still have led to Eich leave the CEO's role to someone else.
Mozilla cruise is proud to be leading to higher standards, but the last few weeks it was not so. We understand why people are hurt and angry and they are right - it's because we stayed true to themselves. [...] We did not react as they should react Mozilla. We were not fast enough to connect with our customers when the whole controversy started - sorry. We must try harder. Brendan Eich has decided to leave the position of CEO. He's made his decision for Mozilla and for our community.
In doing so they thanked the community to help them grow and develop, and they promised that they would come out of this better and stronger. Not yet known who will replace it - this will be a very tricky decision taken in the course of next week.
