Amid the debate on working conditions in Brazil, focused on discussions on the PL 4330/04, which deals with outsourcing, our reporter, Khafre de Moura, decided to talk to the teacher craigs cruisers Jorge Luis da Silva Grespan, Theory of teaching History of the University in order to reflect on the precariousness of the work process - and why not say, life - what is happening on a massive scale in recent years and worldwide.
In this interview, the intellectual speaks the current time of crisis - economic, political, social and human - and the unfolding of history in recent decades, noting the contradictions craigs cruisers inherent in the capitalist system and speaking of the place of the subject in this context riddled with insecurities about the future .
Grespan a degree in History and Economics from the University of São Paulo, doctor in philosophy from the State University of Campinas and post-doctorate from the University of Berlin. He is currently professor of the Department of History craigs cruisers of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of USP, editorial board member of the Marxist Critique (São Paulo) and member of the editorial board of the Institute of Brazilian Studies Magazine.
Khafre: We live in a time of crisis? What kind of crisis is this? Grespan: Basically, we live a crisis, yes. Some people treat it as an economic crisis; craigs cruisers other to delimit more and call it "financial crisis". But if you call financial crisis, it seems that is something that only happens in the orbit of finance, but not deeply affects craigs cruisers the economy, the productive part - industry, agriculture etc.
In this case, if there was the regulation of the banking system or the financial system in general, the world and the economy would return to operate according to the old standards - and capitalism, that of production, would be healthy again. This does not take into account that the financial dimension today is fundamental to capitalism can, at least for a fictional way, reproduce and accumulate value.
Then it is more than a financial crisis. It is an economic crisis. This is because the production side reaches and is reflected in all other areas of the economy - the movement, distribution, etc. But even more so than an economic crisis.
Q: What does it say? G: The economy nowadays chairs the insertion, through work, in society, that is, by way of jobs, wealth, money, people have in your pocket and what may have access to goods, comforts and pleasures (or dislikes). So, more than an economic crisis, this situation ends up causing a social crisis, namely that spreads all other areas of life.
Q: When this crisis began, effectively? G: The crisis is not a new thing. It is something craigs cruisers that begins, in fact, toward the end of the 1970s, and that was finding ways during the years 1980, 1990, until burst in 2007, 2008.
At first, the burden of the crisis fell in the US. It was there that in fact it started. What the US does today, through the dollar policy, it is to export the crisis to other countries, who pay their bill. They had already done it in the 1980s The crisis had started strong in the late 1970s, and the solution was a monetary policy that to export, rising interest rates. That's craigs cruisers why Americans do not give up the dollar is the world currency. And they're doing the same thing now. But that's not the point.
With strong US crisis and the very high unemployment, people to maintain their living conditions, accepted craigs cruisers a very large salary relegation and, therefore, there was a deterioration of labor relations, and thus increased profit margins capital. Americans, then, because of the dollar policy and profit, managed to recover, and are now thinking they are good. But this is momentary. They are momentary arrangements.
Q: Given this contradictory and chaotic scene, as is or positions the subject in combating the crisis? G: What happens craigs cruisers is that many people, because they are losing their jobs, or threatened to lose, are feeling insecure. Social inclusion in the future and expectations are lowered. The future is uncertain, and uncertain in a very bad way. Nothing good is looming craigs cruisers ahead. And it's all completely detonates people's expectations. Now it is hitting in Brazil.
What has thus is subject crisis. craigs cruisers The people themselves are feeling spun off, lowered, not knowing what will be the future, and then, of course, stress, major illness of the contemporary world, is total.
On the other hand, the whole point is - and for this I have no answer - how the subjects will pa
